A today narrowly escaped mob action as angry Kogites threw stones and other objects at him at a Mosque during the juma’t prayer to mark the 25th anniversary of the state in Lokoja.

It took the frantic effort of the security operatives to whisk away the governor from the mosque as obviously angry and frustrated youths were ready to damn the consequences to attack the governor.

The governor is said to be owing several months of salary arrears and has also been accused of massively looting of the state resources to the tone of 11 Billion .
An online news platform reported that the men of the Economic and Financial Crime commission, EFCC stormed the state on Wednesday to gather more evidence after a civil society Organisation, the Egalitarian Mission for Africa petitioned the commission over contract scam and looting of state resources by the Bello led government.

Attempt to reach the chief press secretary to the Governor, Mr Kingsley Fanwo to find out the reaction of the goverment to the mosque attack prove abortive as his phone number was switched off as at press time.

Meanwhile, some aides to the governor who do not want their name in press vowed to stage a reprisal attack on the youths.
